Our Structure
Our retreats are built upon these core tenants:
- HEARTH (EncaustiCamp): Held at the origins of EncaustiCamp, Hearth is about the foundation, the core conviction, and renewal of artistic passion that set this structure in place in 2010.
- HORIZON (EncaustiCamp): This is about building into the future and pushing creative boundaries, expanding expressive capabilities, and exploring new artistic territories. Offered in the 'east', near Nashville, TN, this second location helps bring more accessibility to those unable to travel to the origins on the west coast.
- HAVEN (WinterWax): A deeper investment of time and attention offering introspection, clarity, and discovering as well as creative business development and personal success practices that continue to fortify the structure Hearth and Horizon have established. Held annually since 2016, the return of WinterWax will set a precedence for unleveling artistic practice and endurance.
- HONE (EncaustiCastle): Our residency program offers dedicated support to artists seeking to elevate their craft and hone their skills, with the aim of establishing a lasting creative legacy that extends far beyond their habitation.
